Comprehensive Transportation Planning: Offshore Wind MP Transportation

During the project, Mammoet-Giant used self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT) and transfer vessels to carry out the handling/loading/unloading operations of 45 monopiles (MPs), and our team provided the initial site planning to transportation plan and ballast plan to ensure timely delivery of the foundations to the customer.

Transportation operations: The length of foundation piles ranges from about 70M to 100M, and the weight ranges from 1,000 tons to 1,700 tons. It is a special transportation operation. We will make large-scale transportation plans based on different specifications to ensure that the methods used comply with all regulations and can complete transportation according to customer needs.

Barge loading/unloading operations: According to the different lengths and weights of monopiles, our engineer team will plan the stern on and ballast operations of our barges according to factors such as different ports/tides/weather etc., and the barge stern on operation will be proposed to the local pilotage according to the plan and executed, and after the ballast plan is completed, the on-site team will use SPMT, mobile cranes, forklifts, pump and other equipment to carry out the loading/unloading operations of the barge.
